Your support is fundamental to ending homelessness in our community. As homelessness grows, and government services decline, the need for a community based solution has become apparent.
Volunteer operated, donor supported projects – like the Bread & Roses Catholic Worker community, the Emergency Overflow Shelter (operated by a partnership of the Family Support Center and Interfaith Works), the Out of the Woods Shelter, and Camp Quixote (operated by the Panza committee in partnership with the camp members) – have all proven to be low cost, highly effective means of serving the homeless. These projects are operated by people like yourself – lay people concerned about their neighbors.
If we are ever to end homelessness, it will not come about through bureaucracies or government programs, but rather from people like you. You are the solution. You – the grassroots supporter – whether you are a volunteer, contributor, or activist.
Bread & Roses operates solely by virtue of your support. Thank you for supporting the cause!
