A former member of the Olympia City Council once commented that the health and vitality of Bread & Roses represents a kind of “thermometer” for our community’s concern for the homeless.   This is because Bread and Roses is a volunteer driven, donor supported organization.  We are a hub – a kind of community center – through which the community engages with the issue of homelessness. 

Bread & Roses belongs to you – our neighbors, friends, donors, volunteers and supporters.  It belongs to you because without you it would not exist.  Your time, your gifts, your thoughts and prayers are the manna that sustain the homeless as they seek a more permanent home.

There are many ways that you can be involved in the Bread & Roses community.  Come join us for dinner, volunteer at the House of Hospitality or in our gardens, or bring your gifts to sustain our community and our work.
